PTF 96000XL TIMS for precisetime interval measurements to give frequency offset and stability information on a range of different frequency sources.

The system uses a precision, direct digital synthesizer (DDS) and RF mixer to generate a (selectable) beat signal between the reference input and the unit under test (UUT).

Phase difference taken at the selected time interval (selectable by channel) is precisely measured by means of a 32 bit counter and reported on a channel by channel basis.

The architecture of the unit is designed to enable simple expandability up to 12 channels in one 2U package, with additional expandability in blocks of up to 12 channels by adding additional 2U packages. With the built in Ethernet port, IP addresses can be assigned to individual units, making data handling a simple exercise.

Data is formatted to import directly into the industry standard Stable32 frequency measurement application.

The unit can be configured for either front or rear entry of the frequency inputs.
